The Baseball Project performs at DAEL

On Friday, March 11th, DAEL welcomed the band,  The Baseball Project, for the latest installment of indieATL.  Members Steve Wynn (the Dream Syndicate), Scott McCaughey (The Young Fresh Fellows and The Minus 5), Linda Pitmon and  Peter Buck (R.E.M.), performed songs from their newly released album Volume Two: High and Inside on Yep Roc Records.  This latest release maintains the themes of baseball nostalgia and the sports most  memorable triumphs and greatest tragedies inherent in their preceding effort, Volume One: Frozen Ropes and Dying Quails, released in 2008.

In addition to indieATL, their music has been showcased on The Broadside Ballads for ESPN.com, and This Week in Baseball, a long-running weekly Major League Baseball program.

The production crew was managed by Associate Producer of indieATL Chris Escobar, with DAEL Alumni Micah Stansell and Parker Davidson and current MA-Production graduate students.  Sound recording was done by DAEL Associate Director Matt Rowles.
